Bike the Drive 2011.
Bike the Drive 2011 pedals off from Jackson Boulevard and Columbus Drive at 5:30a.m. (through 9:45a.m.) on Sunday, May 29. The ride offers an opportunity for bikers to navigate Chicago's famous Lake Shore Drive car-free. Nearly 20,000 participants of all ages and expertise are expected for this year's Bike the Drive which will be held rain or shine. In addition to the ride, there is a post ride festival at Grant Park's Butler Field with live entertainment, giveaways and $7 breakfast options from Goose Island Brew Pub.
Register online or at the event. Fees for registration before the event are: $45 for participants who are not members of the Active Transportation Alliance (includes T-shirt); $40 for Active Transportation Alliance members (includes T-shirt); $15 for youth 17 and under (includes T-shirt). Fees for day of registration are: $55 (T-shirt NOT included).
