The 54th Annual Grammy Awards take place tonight February 12 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Kanye West led the field at the 2012 Grammys with seven nominations, though he was not nominated for Best Album. Adele was nominated for six awards, including Best Album, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Mr. Behar will face Allan Mayer, Principal Partner at 42West PR agency in New York, in the debate “Privacy vs. Publicity in the Era of Transparency”.

In May 2012, Chicago will be the center of the economic and political world as heads of state and government, top diplomats, military figures, international journalists, and global thought leaders convene for the G8 and NATO Summits. The 21st edition of Bulgaria’s largest and most impressive “Kukeri” event – the Surva Festival – kicked off in the western city of Pernik on Saturday.

Thousands of “kukeri”, or mummers, a beloved Bulgarian folklore tradition with roots from Ancient Thrace, have gathered for the weekend event. They will have processions in downtown Pernik on Saturday and Sunday.

The first award of the night, male actor in a supporting role for motion picture, went to veteran actor Christopher Plummer of Beginners. The Help’s Octavia Spencer continued her winning streak, taking home female actor in a supporting role for motion picture.

As we touched on earlier, as members of the European Union sign ACTA into something of an existence — it still requires ratification from the European Union parliament — various EU citizens have decided to fight back against ACTA. Unfortunately, while these protests are getting noticed, the ruling governments signed the treaty anyway.
