Here is what Marian Dimitrov said at his interview for the newspaper «Bulgaria» :

Marian, coming up in 2008 are the Olympics in Beijing. What needs to happen for you to participate?

First of all, I need to qualify for the United States National Team: the team selection will occur next May in San Diego. I believe I can make the cut if I train hard and never stop trying. My result at the US National Competition gave me the inspiration to continue. After training for two months, I won the bronze medal. However, from now on I will have to do everything myself. I have some help from Lincoln Park Boat Club, who promised to order a canoe especially for me, which is very good because the one that I am using now is an old model and is not too compatible for my weight, but the new canoe has yet to be received and paid for. This isn’t everything I need, but it is one of the most important things.
I’d like to ask help from all fans of the sport, and if anyone becomes interested in my accomplishments and gives me financial help, I will be truly happy to show that it was worth it. Of course, it is stupid to make early forecasts and promises, however, if I continue to compete like I have so far, I will succeed.
