New York senator and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent Dyana Dafova a message through Democratic congressmen Nick Lampson, in which she congratulates her for her concert at the North Shore Center for performing arts in Skokie/ Chicago. Our singer keeps correspondence with Hillary since she visited Bulgaria as a First Lady of U.S. (1993-2001). After the concert the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ivan Sotirov awarded to Dyana the commemorative gold medal 60 years of UN and 50 years of Bulgarian membership in the UN. He said that this is the first time the medal is awarded to a Bulgarian artist. Our star was recognized for her contribution as a Good Will reprisentative of the International Refugee Agency UNHCR.
