Българският фолклорен ансамбъл „Хоро” е създаден през 2003 година с подкрепата на Българската православна църква „Свети Иван Рилски”, където провежда репетициите си през първите три години от съществуването си.
Негови художествени ръководители са Ирина и Тодор Гочеви – майстори на танца, професионални хореографи и изпълнители от ансамбъл „Сливен”.
В ансамбъла членуват около 25 жени, мъже, младежи и девойки, обединени от любовта си към българския танц. Някои от тях са бивши професионални танцьори, други – дългогодишни самодейци, а трети – дори начинаещи.
Фолклорният ансамбъл „Хоро” представя танци от всички основни етнографски области на България и разполага с 5 вида костюми – тракийски, пирински, шопски, добруджански и ихтимански. Репертоарът му включва над 15 танца.
Ансамбъл „Хоро” е добре познат на българската общност от самостоятелните си концерти и от участията си в съвместни мероприятия. Воден от амбицията си да популяризира българския фолклорен танц, той редовно участвува в Пролетния Фестивал на Балканската Музика и Танц, има и няколко изпълнения пред американска публика.

The Ensemble for Bulgarian Folk Dances Horo was founded in 2003 with the support of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church St. Ivan of Rila which provided the ensemble with a rehearsal room for the first 3 years of its existence.
Artistic Directors of the ensemble are Irina Gocheva and Todor Gochev – masters of the dance, professional choreographers and performers from ensemble Sliven in Bulgaria.
Currently the ensemble has about 25 members – women, men, girls and boys united in their love for the Bulgarian folk dance. Some of them have been professional dancers, others have performed for years with amateur groups, and yet others are even beginners.
Ensemble Horo presents dances from all the major ethnographic areas of Bulgaria and has 5 types of costumes – Trakiiski, Pirinski, Shopski, Dobrudzanski and Ihtimanski. Its repertoire includes more than 15 different dances.
Ensemble Horo is well known to the Bulgarian community from its concerts and participation in various events. We have the ambition to spread the word about the beauty of the Bulgarian folk dances outside the Bulgarian community. We participate in the Spring Festival of the Balkan Music and Dance and have also performed in front of American audiences.
