"THE SPIRITUAL VOICE OF BULGARIA"
Dyana
Dafova's music is a combination of elements from different genres and
has a unique sound. The songs from her latest album "Charisma" are a
contemporary interpretation of the Bulgarian folklore and orthodox
music. The lyrics include languages such as Sanskrit, Celtic,
Latin,Italian, Japanese, North American Indian, also Bulgarian and
English. They are inspired by the search of the creative person in the
supernatural world.
Dyana Dafova born and raised in Sofia; studied classic piano and singing at The Sofia Music Academy.
She started her solo career in 1985. After only several months,
"Happiness is Difficult to Get", "Love is Never Late" and "Different
Worlds" became television and radio hits. She was awarded a special prize in the Melody of the Year competition.
Her
songs are popular due to the perfectionism of her unconventional
artistic solo interpretation. Her graceful and magnetic stage and
screen presence also adds to the power of her music.
The current Album "Charisma" is her first as a Singer/Songwriter, which is Distributed in over 25 Countries through , CD BABY (USA), Times music (India), Riva Sound (Bulgaria) and Music Media (Italy).
Her previous maxi Single "Sounds of the Earth" received its Acclaim when Dyana was Attending the launch of Columbia Shuttle at NASA Center Florida. Her CD was presented to the Team of Columbia shortly before the launch.
The Song "Taliesin", from her new Album "Charisma" won 1st Prize "World" and overall 3rd Prize (out of 15 categories) in the "USA Songwriting Competion 2000".
The US Army (Camp Bondsteel) in Kosovo, awarded Dyana with 5 Medals for Excellence, for her performance at her 2 Hr exclusive Concert.
A special 30 min. TV Documentry Film was produced recording the event.
Further Concerts for "Peacekeepers", include Pristina, Sarajevo, Kabul and Karbala/Iraq.
The ATLANTIC CLUB Bulgaria, invited Dyana to present a Concert special to celebrate Bulgaria`s entry into NATO.
Dyana has dedicated a lot of her Time on the International circuit entertaining "Peace Keepers" promoting Friendship and Peace.
Film Documentary: Dyana's recent film, "Music for Peace and Integration" was produced to show how "Music" can help to integrate and promote Peace to all nationalities and Religions.
Italian Compilation CD release Queens of Music, Le Regine della Musica. Published by Musicmedia Milan, distributed by RCS, Italy.
The Album is the first which includes Diva's from the Balkan and
other International Countries. Two of Dyana's compositions were
included in the CD.
February 2005 - "Association for Morals and Ethics"
Dyana as co-founder was elected as Chairperson to promote the
association with Imternational organizations the morals and ethics in
schools, universities, educational organizations and business.

Bulgaria, complimented Dyana for her music as a wonderful reminder of
her visit. The CD "Charisma" is kept as part of her personal music
collection.
